Sabbath, the 9th of February 2019, a Mission Go Evangelism team visited Mayezane, Matopo on a fact-finding assignment in preparation for evangelistic meetings in the area. The village is largely un-entered with only three Adventist Church members, that is, a 91 year-old lady, her daughter and a neighbouring lady. Demoninations pre-dominant in the area are Brethren in Christ, Baptist and there is also SKA, a splinter group from the Adventist Church. Prior to getting to the place, the team managed to meet with the District Pastor, Pastor Ndlovu, and had a short briefing with him. At Mayezane, the team was able to meet with the village headman who appreciated and welcomed the planned evangelistic meetings. He promised to gather the people in his area and inform them of the program.
